From cmwood at mtu.edu Fri Oct 9 11:12:05 2009 From: cmwood at mtu.edu (Tina Wood) Date: Fri, 9 Oct 2009 11:12:05 -0400 (EDT) Subject: [Activities] Halloween game nights - yes plural In-Reply-To: <1551772409.3015981255100918820.JavaMail.root@alcona.merit.edu> Message-ID: <48869446.3016871255101125045.JavaMail.root@alcona.merit.edu> You're invited to one or both of the following Halloween game nights at Tina's. Friday: Kid-friendly Okay, this really isn't a kids party (no candy, no decorations, etc) but those of you with kids are welcome to bring them if it makes life easier. This is a game night, but those of you with kids bring your kids games, we can set them up in the basement with whoever is willing to take turns chaperoning (sorry, I'm not volunteering). Someone bringing a card table and chairs would be appreciated, although I imagine the kids can play on the floor. The kids are welcome to dress up, if they want an extra chance to wear their costumes. Adults can wear costumes too but they're optional. Geeky and non-geeky games, things like Clue, Gullotine, etc would be appropriately themed non-geeky games if anyone owns them. We'll play whatever you bring. This party starts at 6:30 pm, dinner isn't included. Saturday: Not kid-focused, game night! Time for Halloween-appropriate game night, with games like Arkanam Horror, Last Night on Earth, Zombie Fluxx, etc, whatever you bring. Also, this is a costume-encouraged party. Dress as something/someone nontraditionally scary - an IRS auditor, mother in law, etc. But you will be allowed in the door and only mildly heckled for attending without costume. Sorry, the kids aren't invited to this one (nothing specifically mature, I just don't want to deal with small ones two days in a row, and besides they should be out trick-or-treating anyway), but your adult friends/family certainly are. This one's also a potluck dinner for those who wish to arrive early enough, 5:30 pm. Plan on gaming ~6:30, if you're not attending dinner. Please RSVP with a headcount, and if you're attending dinner what you'll be bringing. Someone bringing a card table and chairs would again be appreciated. Also let me know what games, if any, you'll be bringing. Two FYI's: -I'm sending this out early so you can mark your calendars, but reserve the right to change details as we get closer. -I may have Mother babysitting duty that weekend, so she may be hanging around too.
